Using this website
These terms cover your use of the Crestline Agoura Hills Concrete website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us through it. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
When we sign a written estimate or contract with you for a specific job, that document controls the job. These terms fill in anything it doesn't cover. If the two ever conflict, the signed document wins.
What we do
Crestline Agoura Hills Concrete is a concrete contractor in Agoura Hills, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, retaining walls, footings and foundations, and we do related work such as stamped and decorative concrete, concrete cutting and foundation raising. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.
The descriptions on this site are general. They explain how this kind of work usually goes, and they aren't a promise about your property. What we'll do on your job, and how, is set out in your written estimate.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day, such as the size of the area, the condition of the ground, access for our trucks and the finish you choose.
Some conditions only show up once the old slab is out or the ground is dug, such as soft soil, buried debris, roots or old pipes. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and agree on any change with you in writing before we go ahead.
Unless your estimate says otherwise, it's good for 30 days, because material and hauling costs change. Any general cost information on this site is for planning only and isn't a quote.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll agree a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so heavy rain, high wind or extreme heat can push a pour back, and we'd rather move the date than pour a slab that won't hold up. We'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new date with you.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before you walk or drive on it. We'll tell you how long to stay off it. Damage caused by using the surface before then isn't covered by our guarantee.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call or write to us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials, booked a concrete delivery or started work, you'll owe the costs we've already paid out and the work already done, as your agreement sets out. This doesn't limit any right to cancel that California law gives you.
Your property and permits
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we should know before we dig, such as sprinkler lines, buried utilities, drainage pipes or property line questions. We aren't responsible for damage to private lines or items we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably see.
Some concrete work may need a permit or approval from your city or homeowners association. Your written agreement will say who is responsible for getting it.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out what's due, when and how you can pay. Any deposit will be limited to what California law allows. Final payment is due when the work is done as agreed, unless your agreement says otherwise.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and we may use the remedies California law gives contractors to collect what's owed, including a lien on the property.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
Crestline Agoura Hills Concrete is licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the work we did isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right as your agreement describes.
Concrete is a natural material, so some things are normal and aren't defects. Small hairline cracks, slight color differences between pours and minor surface variation can happen even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, the planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack where you won't notice it.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from earth movement, tree roots, flooding or poor drainage we didn't build, vehicles heavier than the slab was built for, deicing salts or harsh chemicals, changes made by others, or use of the surface before it has cured. Apart from what's written here and in your agreement, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of your property, lost income or other costs that follow from a delay or problem.
The information on this website is general and offered as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise it's complete or current, and you shouldn't rely on it in place of advice about your own property. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that California law doesn't allow us to limit.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call or write to us first. Most issues get sorted out quickly once we're standing on the slab together, and we'll try in good faith to settle it with you directly.
If we can't resolve it that way, either of us may take the matter to a court in Los Angeles County, California, unless we both agree to mediation or another way of settling it. You may also have the right to file a complaint with the state's contractor licensing board.
Governing law
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed agreement unless we both agree to them in writing.
